Tree Toys understands the crucial role that toys play in the lives of our young as they grow and mature. Which is why we decided to design a collection of toys inspired by Maria Montessori's principles on the way children learn best. Apart from the fun element, our toys make kids develop in different areas of growth and move their development along many dimensions.
We think it is so important for children to be able to explore, learn and discover from an early age. Our toys are meant to foster creativity that allows kids open-ended imaginative toy (play). Just to give you any example our stack and build blocks are a way where children can play independently by creating various structures on their own. They can build towers and castles, which are encouraging them to have out of the box thinking & utilizing their creativity.
Kids at around 18 months start to fine-tune their little motor skills even more, and are naturally curious of anything surrounding them. We pride ourselves on making toys they can see, touch and play with that will change and educate. Our Shape Sorter toy, for example, is a great way for children to practice problem-solving when figuring out which shapes fit into where. For them, it is a delightful challenge! In addition, our Sensory Ball provides them with tactile feedback and allows them to feel different textures that enhances their sensory skills. So, when someone says fine motor skills they are talking about the smaller muscles we use for example in our fingers to pick something up like a pen or button a shirt or zipping up a coat. Our toys are meant to support practicing these skills by engaging kids hands and fingers in a fun way. Our Gear and Peg set or Nesting Blocks are both great examples of toys that force your child to manipulate small parts as well, making these perfect for this habit. These activities are not only entertaining, but they also teach kids how to refine small hand muscles, which can benefit them later in life.
Besides fine motor skills, our toys also help develop problem solving abilities. You encourage kids to think of how they can get the most out of their toys. For instance, the Wood Animal Puzzle is a fun and exciting way for children to learn problem solving skills. Each time they try adding one jigsaw to another side, they are gaining more confidence and ways to solve challenges.
